Martial Skill
The Soldier skill is the skill known by men in the field - the details of camp life, the means to survive when the food wagons do not survive or to keep the ordinary wounds of battle from going gangrene. More experienced Soldiers learn the niceties of military life, where pay is largely a function of what one loots and victory is a question of listening to one's instincts rather than the green new officer on the horse.
