Petty Officer

Civil Skill

The petty officers of a naval ship, armed merchantman or pirate find themselves in the narrow parts of command: dealing with small groups of men, coordinating them as they go about ship's tasks and the like. As they gain experience, they also find themselves as natural leaders of their shipmates on shore, guiding them through the many people in port towns who feed on the sea-faring economy.
